Applicants will be reviewed and selected based on date of submission, locality to Dallas, OR, relationship to Agriculture, and variety of goods sold. We are going to try and limit resale, non-local, and/or replica booths, and therefore may not be able to accept every applicant.
Licensing and regulations will be Per Federal, Oregon State, City, and Polk County rules. Vendors are responsible for acquiring the appropriate licensing to sell their goods at Farmers Markers-these permits apply primarily to vendors who sell food and consumable goods, particularly which they have not personally sourced.
If, say, the produce is grown on the vendors own farm, a license is not typically required.
However, there are nursery licensing required for plants, starts, trees, and items of that nature.
If the product is value-added and/or cottage goods, proper certification is required. Certain vendors require food handlers certificates. One resource for this information is this directory compiled by the State of Oregon:
