In response to Siskiyou County being placed in the "purple" tier, MESD is being required to reevaluate portions of our opening model.

When Siskiyou County transitions out of the purple tier, all school activities will resume under the CURRENT model until further notice.

If offered the option to elect to join distance learning for the three week interval between Thanksgiving Break and Christmas Break, I would choose distance learning for the short term (same as current YHS plan). I understand that my student would be required to join class digitally each day at 1pm.

Special education students are required by new guidelines to have the option attend school in person each week to have their IEP service minutes required. I am a parent of an IEP student and I understand this requirement.
