PULSE Alive is a large-scale performing arts event, celebrating talented students from NSW public schools in Greater Sydney and beyond. It provides high quality opportunities in music, dance, drama, visual arts and public speaking to students from all over the state.

PULSE Alive 2021 will be held on Monday 13 September at Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney Olympic Park.

In 2019, a pilot program was run in western Sydney forming the PULSE Aboriginal dance ensemble. This ensemble rehearsed for and performed at the PULSE Concert in 2019 at the Sydney Opera House.

Following on from the success of this program, we are looking to expand the reach of the PULSE Aboriginal dance ensemble in 2021. The ensemble will perform as part of PULSE Alive 2021, in both a stand-alone item and as part of the finale.

We are seeking expressions of interest from schools who wish to be considered for involvement in this program for 2021. Once you have submitted your expression of interest you will be contacted by the program coordinator and provided with more information about the ensemble.

Expressions of interest for the Aboriginal Dance Ensemble at PULSE Alive 2021 will close on Monday 10 May 2021.

Please provide your best estimate of the number of students your school will bring to perform as part of the Aboriginal Dance Ensemble for PULSE Alive 2021. You will be able to modify this number (both up and down) up until the start of Term 3.

I have discussed this application with my school principal, including discussion around the dates of rehearsals and performances, and have their support to submit this application.

I understand that there is a participation fee of $48 per student (GST inclusive) to participate in PULSE Alive 2021 and this will be direct debited from my school in early Term 3, once final numbers have been submitted.

I understand that students must be supervised at all times whilst participating in PULSE Alive 2021. I understand that no relief days are provided for participation in PULSE Alive 2021 - all relief for teachers from participating schools in the Aboriginal Danc Ensemble is the responsibility of those schools.
