Recommendation Letter for CAST-USA 2019 YEA (Young Elite Award) Applicant
Dear Teacher, Guidance Counselor, and supervisor/adviser of extracurricular programs and community services,  the Applicant has asked you to write a recommendation letter  for his application for CAST-USA Young Elite Award (YEA).
For the detailed information of the YEA program please review the 2019 CAST-USA YEA Program announcement, which can be downloaded from the 2019 CAST-USA Convention webpage at  http://castgny.org/en/.
The YEA candidates are judged by:
 a) High academic performance, demonstrated not only by GPA, but also by taking AP courses, honors curriculum
     or research projects, etc.
 b) Demonstrated strong interests in science & engineering, innovation and societal challenges.
∙c)  Special talent, passion, and innovative ideas, as well as team work and leadership skills  in
      extracurricular activities & community services.

Each Applicant is required to have two recommendation letters: ONE is from his/her school teacher or Guidance counselor; the other is from his/her supervisor/adviser for extracurricular activities or community services. Your evaluation of the Applicant’s performance and potential is very important for the fair competition of the CAST-USA Young Elite Award.
