A Conversation with Women of Color in Public Interest Law
Join three public interest leaders for a lunchtime discussion on their experiences as women of color building careers fighting for social change. Together, Lindsay Nako, Seema Patel, and Mona Tawatao have decades of experience in nonprofit organizations, private firms, and government, using a variety of tools to defend the rights of underserved communities and build a community of public interest lawyers who are committed to reshaping American society. Along the way, they have been litigators, mentors, mothers, and friends. Come hear more about their journeys and the public interest opportunities available today in the Bay Area.

Lindsay Nako is the Director of Litigation for the Impact Fund.

Seema N. Patel is the Clinical Director for the East Bay Community Law Center and Lecturer in Residence at UC Berkeley School of Law.

Mona Tawatao is the Legal Director of the Equal Justice Society.

We will do our best to accommodate guests' dietary restrictions but we rely on outside vendors to provide the food. They do not provide ingredient lists nor can they guarantee their kitchens are free of certain specific allergens, which means there is a potential risk of cross-contamination.
