Voices of History: Stories from Black Pennsylvanians, a groundbreaking PA Humanities 50th anniversary initiative, launches in Pittsburgh in June 2024 in partnership with the August Wilson House. We will collect and celebrate the stories, family histories, struggles, and triumphs of Black Pennsylvanians throughout the state. Stories will be preserved in an online statewide archive.
Do you have a story to share in the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of The Hill, Garfield / East Liberty, and Homewood-Brushton / Wilkinsburg?
PA Humanities is looking for your story! Share with us about a special memory, personal experience, or a cherished keepsake that captures the spirit of your family's journey.
