I believe that our stories are a source of growth for ourselves, our diverse narrative, and our maternal health advocacy.

As we work to dismantle the roots of the deep injustice that exist for black women’s maternal health, we have to balance the narrative of black mothers. We have to uplift as many stories of success and transformation as we do stories of sorrow. My goal is to fearlessly hold space for both.
