Join us on Saturday, October 9th from 9am to 1pm for a community volunteer day! If you are younger than 18 you must volunteer with your parent or legal guardian. Projects include pond clean-up, invasive weed pulling,  barn mucking, coop cleaning, and tree trimming, among other property maintenance tasks.

We will be following COVID-19 protocols and ask that unvaccinated volunteers please wear masks around our animal residents, staff, and other volunteers, as there are times we’ll be closer than 6 feet apart while working. Vaccinated volunteers may omit masks so long as they bring proof of vaccination.

Close-toed shoes are required at all times for safety and water bottles, sunscreen, and work gloves are recommended. For the safety of all animals and guests, companion animals are not allowed at the sanctuary (even in your car) and there is no smoking anywhere on the property. If you bring your own snacks we ask that they be free of animal products (meat, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, etc.) out of respect for our residents and mission.

While this is not a tour day, you may see and interact with some of our animal residents while volunteering, and we will go over safety procedures at the start of the day.  Thank you for volunteering at Blackberry Creek!
