Current CNS Strat Plan
The previous CNS Strategic Plan (www.cheerns.com) includes the current Mission, Vision, and several strategic pillars and goals.  For the past several years, CNS has strived to meet these goals, which has resulted in a significant increase in recognition and governance funding for CNS. For the new strat plan, we will be reviewing all these elements and updating them and also considering new and transformational strategic goals.
CNS's current Mission: Cheer Nova Scotia is dedicated to promoting, developing, and regulating both the participation and progression of cheerleading across Nova Scotia at the introductory, recreational, competitive, and high performance levels.  What do you think is most important for CNS to capture in a new Mission?
CNS's current Vision: To be leaders in the governance of the sport of cheerleading and to facilitate the growth of the sport by cultivating strong leaders and programs within our province, through progressive development, sportsmanship and excellence..  What do you think is most important for CNS to capture in a new Vision?
Key Strategic Priorities
CNS had identified FOUR Strategic Priorities:
  1. To improve overall operations of CNS in are of Organizational Effectiveness
  2. To increase overall participation in all disciplines of cheerleading in NS
  3. To improve the governance and training of coaching and officiating
  4. To provide Excellence in governance, leadership, and regulation of Cheer within NS.
CNS has made significant strides on these strategic priorities and successfully moved from a Tier 4 Sport to a Tier 2 Sport, Surpassing our goal to move to a T3 sport!

The questions below will help shape the priorities for the future of Cheer in NS.

Cheer NS's desire is to develop a new strategic plan that will provide clear direction for the organization over the next three years. The plan will be aspirational, reasonable, and manageable, and will include a number of considerations that reflect the current environment and the growth of Cheer Nova Scotia over the past several years.
