2019 Bicycle and Pedestrian Count - Volunteer Sign Up
San Mateo County is participating in the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project for the fourth year in a row. This year the count period is September 10th -- 15th.

We need dedicated volunteers like you to help us with our effort! Volunteers help with the in-field data collection component. This means that you get to be outside enjoying a couple of hours in the beautiful, mid-peninsula weather while keeping a record of those who walk or bike past.

What gets counted, gets attention! Documenting how many people are walking and bicycling is the first step to increasing and improving these modes. This nationwide effort follows a standardized protocol and the resulting data can be used by planners and decision-makers to guide investment decisions around sustainable transportation options.

All volunteers must review and understand the provided training materials before volunteering.

**This volunteer opportunity is organized by San Mateo County Office of Sustainability. The County will not share or sell contact information.**
