Research residencies wish to encourage fundamental research on puppetry arts, to support the creative process of artists and to reinforce the links between the communities of research and those of creation.
The residency must be the object of a written, audiovisual or multimedia record, or
contribute to its production. This trace must present the research methodology and enable the results to be shared.
These residencies must last at least two weeks. They cannot take place during periods when the IIM is closed (from the 5th to the 18th of August included and from the 21st to the 31st of December included) or during the Temps d'M festival, from the 18th to the 22nd of September.
Residencies are allocated after examination of the proposal, according to availability at the Documentation center and at the apartment rented by the IIM.
Applications that are not selected for a grant may be offered a documentary residency.
