Part I: Performance Styles
This course will focus on the meat of musical theatre - singing, dancing and acting. We will explore the vocal styles that are seen on Broadway and beyond today in a studio class setting, where a select few will be able to sing and be coached in a group setting, as we collectively analyze how to healthily expert multiple vocal styles. Followed by a Musical Theatre Dance Styles Class, that will both incorporate dances seen on the stage today and audition practices. And of course, acting will be involved in all parts.

Sunday, October 2nd
12:30pm - 3:30pm
City Voices - 4001 Ingersoll Ave

A Capella in Theatre? Yes - it is becoming more and more popular, and a great experience to have for those who are interested in live performance. Ensemble singing is very important, so let's take it back to the basics and just use our voices. This course has the opportunity for live and/or recorded performances, and may require more meeting times outside of the currently scheduled time (based on class size and availability).

Part III: The Business
If you are interested in any leg of the live performance industry - this is the class for you! This discussion based course will answer questions on how to find a lane for yourself in a business that is mainly operated on both the East and West Coast. How do you go from Iowa to LA? or New York? Also, we will tackle industry auditioning and content creation practices that have now shifted since the pandemic.
