Persephone's Gift October 2019
"Persephone's Gift" will run on Sunday, October 6th at the Arlington Center for the Arts at 20 Academy St in Arlington under the auspices of the Greater Boston LARP Society. Players should show up by 1:15pm so that game can begin promptly at 1:30pm. Game will end at 5:30pm with a wrapup and optional dinner mob to follow.

Persephone's Gift is a secrets & powers LARP written by Daniel Kane. (This version has been remixed by Xavid.) The game is set in the universe of Isaac Asimov's robot novels. Expect to see scheming, politics, and robots. For more information about the game, see: https://www.querki.net/u/.2r/gbls/#!Persephones-Gift

Game is free. That said, we do have to pay for the site, so if you are able a suggested donation of at least $10 will help cover our costs and make future LARPs possible.

Access from the 77 bus and other MBTA buses is conveniently available. Parking is available, mostly on-street.

Signups after Sunday, September 15th will be first-come, first-served and should get a response shortly.

If we receive more apps than there is space in the game, we will select players based on this casting questionnaire aiming for the best fit for players.

As usual for GBLS games:

Anyone who wants to sign up for this game must also sign up for the Greater Boston LARP Society's google group / mailing list. (If you received this announcement via email to the mailing list, congratulations: your work is done! :) ) https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/boston-larpers

Players are expected to abide by NEIL's community policies. (We will be using this one until GBLS has refined one of its own.) http://interactiveliterature.org/NEIL/communityPolicies.html

PLEASE NOTE: We are still in the process of figuring out what the Greater Boston LARP Society's policies and standard operating procedures should be. Your feedback is welcome as we evolve and improve our process. To give feedback, or ask general questions about the Greater Boston LARP Society, contact gbls-officers@googlegroups.com.

If you have questions about this game specifically, please contact the GMs directly at xavid@xavid.us.

Some of the characters in this game will be robots whose agency is limited by the somewhat-restrictive Laws of Robotics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Laws_of_Robotics). Does playing such a character sound appealing to you?
