The Social Innovation Fellows is a challenging and dynamic year-long interdisciplinary team experience. Over two semesters, students from across campus work in teams to learn and practice social innovation methodology and frameworks while developing and using an entrepreneurial mindset/approach to problem-solving.
This opportunity that extends and complements the scope of traditional coursework via an experiential process. Although this is not a course for academic credit, students are engaged via a dedicated curriculum and are connected to an extended network of local and global social impact leaders.
The individual(s) you nominate will receive an email from the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship team explaining that you have nominated them to apply for Social Innovation Fellows cohort and details about what the experience entails and an invitation to apply.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be full time enrolled NC State student for the following academic year
All majors/programs and academic levels are welcome
No prior experience in entrepreneurship or social innovation required, but strong interest is recommended
Additional Program Benefits
Up $1,500 in individual support for related enrichment activities (social innovation/social entrepreneurship conferences, seminars, workshops, learning materials, venture development, etc)
Each team can access to $1500 for project-related expenses
Course credit opportunities (independent study, interdisciplinary entrepreneurship certificate)

Minimum Program Requirements and Expectations
Attend August retreat
Participate in monthly innovation Labs throughout the semester (on 1st Tuesdays from 5:45-8:15pm)
Participate in presentation events, community discussions, and mini-labs
Meet and communicate weekly with team members and mentor
