GLACLP Child Life Pre-Internship Experience Scholarship Application - Summer 2024
The purpose of the GLACLP Pre-Internship Scholarship is to help financially assist a child life student during their pre-internship experience.

A "Pre-Internship Experience" can be defined as a student opportunity within healthcare or other community-based settings in which psychosocial support is provided to children and families in stressful situations (per ACLP). Pre-Internship experiences may include but are not limited to child life practicums, experiences at nonprofits, medical camps, children's shelters, etc. 

Conditions of Scholarship:
  • Pre-internship scholarships are currently awarded to one child life student for a total of $200.
  • Applicants must be a current GLACLP member.
  • The applicant must have secured or be actively completing their pre-internship experience during time of application. Completed or finished pre-internship experiences are not eligible for this scholarship. 
Pre-internship scholarship applications must include:
  • Completed application form (below). Completion of this form will result in a confirmation message acknowledging successful submission.
  • one-page essay answering the following question: "How will this financial support help you during your pre-internship experience?" 
  • A verification email sent to us by your pre-internship program coordinator confirming you have been accepted, or are currently completing, a pre-internship experience at that institution. 
All essays and program verification documents must be emailed to scholarships.glaclp@gmail.com with the subject “Summer 2024 Scholarship Documents by 11:59pm EST on March 15, 2024.
