Our Private Editorial Coaches are working journalists, columnists or
editors, with extensive commentary experience and a track record of
high-impact publication in respected and vetted outlets; a gift for
coaching and mentoring; and a deep commitment to The OpEd Project’s
mission of inclusive leadership. Private Editorial Coaches
must have an
existing relationship with The OpEd Project (for example, as an OpEd
Project
Fellowship Coach,
Mentor-Editor
or advisor) and a history of uplifting voices in our community. They
are matched with individual clients to provide additional support beyond
what The OpEd Project offers in our workshops, fellowships and
volunteer mentoring. The support may include brainstorming ideas,
coaching around themes, copy editing, or pitching advice. Private
Coaches are never expected to pitch pieces on behalf of clients.
