As our library profession strives to serve an increasingly diverse population, the Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA seeks to recruit and retain Spanish/English bilingual students within the librarianship profession through local REFORMA scholarship funds.  

The Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA is offering three Graduate level scholarships in the amount of $1,500:

- The Elizabeth Martinez Scholarship is open to current graduate students in Library and Information Science (MLIS) living in Los Angeles County. We will award two Elizabeth Martinez Scholarships.

- The Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship is open to current graduate students in Library and Information Science (MLIS), living in Los Angeles County, with an academic or archival focus. We will be awarding one Dr. Karin Duran Scholarship.

Students can apply to both scholarships with this application. However, each student can only be awarded one scholarship.

Winners will:
-Be awarded a free REFORMA student membership and will be added to our listserv for the year.
-Be asked to submit a photo for use on our website and social media.

Scholarship Deadline:  Friday, March 29, 2024, 11:59pm(PST)
Winners will be notified by April 15, 2024
