2020 New or Continued Cohort Gameplay August-September
At this time the regional cohort guidelines outlined by AHS of no more than 50 people is still in place for the foreseeable future. As such Baseball Alberta will be unable to offer its typical Fall Ball season. Moving forward we would like to gauge interest in current cohorts or new teams entering cohorts and playing through September.
Please see below for player movement scenarios:
- Scenario #1 – Team is made up of the original players from your roster, no additions have been made. This team would be able to continue playing with their original cohort team(s) for the duration of August & September
- Scenario #2 – Associations with multiple teams in the same age category wishing to merge and make 1 team for August and/or September must require all players to complete a 14 day waiting period before coming together as a “new” team. For example if 8 players from Team A are joining 6 players from Team B, both teams are able to continue practices on their own but cannot join together to create their new team (Team C) until the 14 day waiting period is complete.
- Scenario #3 – Team is adding additional player(s) to their roster for August and/or September. If this player(s) has NOT been a part of another baseball or sport cohort they may join your team immediately. Players that ARE coming from another cohort must complete the 14 day waiting period before joining the team.
