Rapid Market-Driven Collaboration for VC and mDL Alignment - Express of Interest

IdentityWoman in Business recently finished the Phase 1 of a community engagement project , sponsored by Spruce, exploring and defining efforts needed for better alignment between W3C VCs and ISO 18013–5 mDL, and we released an open letter about our thoughts and recommendations to the two standards communities as well as all interested parties.

The letter called out the need for a rapid market-driven collaboration outside of formal standardization process. We are using this form to collect the contact information from anyone interested in participating in such a collaboration.

Please note that we are still in the process of gauging interest and finding resources to support such a collaboration, so we don't have any further details to share yet. But we will reach out to you when there are updates and will use your contact information provided in this form for that purpose only.

In case where we are not able to reach out in a timely manner or if you have any questions, please feel free to email Lucy Yang at lucy@identitywoman.net.

Thank you very much!

Please note that we have defined the following areas for collaboration in the open letter:
  • A comprehensive implementation-focused analysis of the two sets of standards that can lead to clear market positioning for each;
  • A common architecture or design basis for the two;
  • A set of defined use cases that leverage the capabilities of both;
  • Open-source reference implementations that address the use cases.
