School Site Council Parent Nominations

Dear Parents,

The Compton Junior High School Site Council (SSC) is now accepting nominations for parent members on the SSC.  This is a two-year term: school years 2022-2023 & 2023-2024

The SSC serves the students and the school by:  

  • developing the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with teachers and support staff; 

  • implementing and monitoring the SPSA;

  • annually reviewing the actions in the SPSA to see if SPSA goals are met 

Parent members of the SSC are expected to:

  • attend the meetings once a month: 09/19, 10/17, 11/28, 12/19, 01/23, 02/27, 03/20, 04/17, 05/15

  • learn about the SPSA through trainings and information shared at SSC meetings;

  • represent parents in the neighborhood and community; and

  • actively participate in SSC responsibilities

Parent Members are defined as parents of pupils attending the school, or other members of the school community, selected by parents of pupils attending the school.

If you are interested, your name will be placed on a ballot for an election.
