AVID is a national program meant to support first generation and/or historically underserved students in achieiving their four year university ambitions. The program requires a 3 year committment at Grant High School (Sophomore through Senior years).

To be considered for the GRANT AVID Program - students must:
1) Complete this application
2) Maintain satisfactory behaviors and attendance in all classes; including an entry GPA of 2.5 with a plan for progression to a GPA 2.75
3) Maintain the AVID binder and planner, as outlined in AVID class, and daily organized notes in all classes.
4) Complete all homework assignments and commit to at least one/two hours of homework every night.
5) Enroll in more challenging coursework by taking at least one dual enrollment and/or AP course each school year.
