As the final assessment task, we are going to complete a STAR Portfolio of Learning.

Before we begin, what is a STAR Portfolio?

If you’re not already aware, STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action and Result.
The STAR Portfolio is a short document containing bullet points and images on how you dealt with a specific problem on a specific project. This is a common presentation tool use for interviews and working in this format will now only allow you to demonstrate your learning but will also give you a tool you can use for interviews.

In our folio of learning we will address the following:

S = Set the scene of the comprehensive course by summarising the tasks you completed, the sessions you
attended and the topics that you discussed.

T = Summarise the learning that came out of this comprehensive program for you?

A = How has this comprehensive program changed the ways in which you will approach learning in your
classroom? What will you do differently regarding your learning tasks, assignments, course delivery
and class discussion practices? (In this section please comment on the answer you got in the first pop
quiz vs the pop quiz that we completed as Learning Task #5 – this will work to demonstrate growth
over the length of the course).

R = This can be answered in one of 2 ways.
1 = If you were able to implement your lesson plan, reflect on its success, discuss what happened
in the classroom/students learning and comment on how you could improve this practice in
the future.
2 = if you were NOT able to implement you lesson plan, how will you look to use this teaching
strategy in your teaching practice in the future?
