Event Timing: Saturday December 11th, 2021 - Parade stars at 6PM.
Check-in: Open from 3pm to 5:15pm.  No one can check in after 5:15 pm.
All Parade participants must be ready to roll at 5:45 pm!

The Parade of Lights is back and we are so excited to light up downtown with your creative ideas! The entry fee is use to cover the cost of the event.

This year’s theme: Christmas Around the World.

Entry Fee: $35 (If you are using a paper form please make check payable to ODBA and drop off at the Oroville Chamber of Commerce.
Entry Deadline: Monday, December 6th.
Late Registration Fee: $45
Registration CLOSES Wednesday, December 8

I. Participant Instructions
Check-in: Open from 3pm to 5:15pm.  No one can check in after 5:15 pm.
All Parade participants must be ready to roll at 5:45 pm!

Marching Bands: Drop off and staging is on Stafford St between Lincoln and Huntoon

Floats and Cars: Staging will be along the Feather River Levee. Enter on Oliver Street off of Montgomery. You will be notified of your check-in time as the parade gets closer. Please keep your entries focused on Christmas - political displays are not allowed.

Child Safety: If your child is participating in the Parade, please park in the Parking Lot at Myers and Montgomery and walk your child up Myers Street to the float they are participating in. Do not drop off unsupervised children on the levee. Do not leave children unattended at any time. If you are dropping a child off to participate in the parade, you must stay with them or leave them with a responsible adult.

If you choose to distribute candy, please do so with a walker only. If you throw candy from your float or car children might run up and be hurt. Thank you!

Participation ribbons will be given as you check-in. Trophies are determined by the judges. Winning entries will be announced on the Downtown Oroville Website and Facebook Page later that evening.  Trophy pick-up a week after the parade.  Categories are Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runners up.

II. Agreement & Liability Waiver
By entering into this agreement, you certify that you have the authority to enter the described vehicles or entries. You agree to accept all decisions of the parade judges and to abide by all written and verbal directions and decisions of the Parade of Lights Committee. You, on behalf of your group, business, organization, etc., further agree to hold harmless the sponsors of the Parade of Lights, including the Oroville Downtown Business Association, Fathers House, City of Oroville, Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce, and all employees, agents, volunteers, or associates thereof from any liability, responsibility, loss, damage, or injury to yourself or any person or property resulting from participation in this event.

Furthermore,  I acknowledge that I have current insurance and licensing for my entry and that my groups agree to abide by all rules for this event and behave in a civil and friendly manner.
