ABOUT GRCB's Rock Remote: Digital Audio Week (DAW)
Girls Rock Campaign Boston (GRCB) empowers girls, women, and youth and adults with marginalized gender identities to believe in themselves by building a supportive community that fosters self-expression, confidence, and collaboration through music education and performance!

More and more artists are making their own tracks at home - from local talent like Lavagxrl and Oompa to international sensations like Billie Eilish and Doja Cat. How do they do it?! Learn how to use a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and dive into recording and producing original songs of your own!

By the end of Digital Audio week...
- You’ll collaborate with real bandmates in a virtual space!
- You’ll write and record an original song with your bandmates!
- You’ll know how to use basic tools common to all DAWs!

ENROLLMENT PROCESS AND CONFIRMATION
In order to expand the impact of our mission of bringing the power of collaboration, self-expression and community building to all girls and youth with marginalized gender identities, we will be reviewing applications to foster fairness and diversity rather than admitting applicants on a first come, first served basis.

Once your application has been submitted, we will send an email confirming that we have received your application. We will notify everyone of their application status (accepted or waitlisted) for Rock Remote: Digital Audio Week, via email.

There are limited spaces available for each age group and we cannot exceed our capacity.

Our goal is to cultivate a community that encompasses folks of different life experiences, backgrounds, relationships with musical performance, and history of involvement with the organization. We also greatly consider applicants' expression of wanting to positively impact and or learn from others in the space as well as their own self development.

This work is ongoing and ever evolving. If you have questions, feedback, or would like to be involved in the conversation, please contact nora@girlsrockboston.org.
TUITION
Tuition for Digital Audio Week is on a sliding scale from $0-$500, pay-what-you-can.

We utilize a pay what you can sliding scale model because we know that some families face financial challenges for which they are under- or unsupported, and that all families’ resources, and access to resources, look different. Please indicate the tuition amount that is most appropriate for your situation, given your financial resources. At the same time, please be generous about paying what you can — we rely heavily on tuition to make programs happen and support staff and volunteers. It is in the spirit of the sliding scale model, and in the spirit of community, to pay what we can, when we can.

Any amount over $500 is a tax-deductible donation that will continue to help GRCB thrive! Your contributions ensure access to this experience.
CAPACITY
Space is limited to 24 participants per session.
