2023-2024 Farragut Admiral Fall Band Interest Poll-NCR
As students and parents begin looking at and registering for Fall 2023 high school classes, we are very interested in how many students (both high school and middle school) are contemplating participating in the 2023 Admiral marching band. Please take a few minutes and complete this Farragut High School (FHS) Admiral Band interest form so we can begin the process of knowing who to contact about all items related to the Farragut Band. We are already looking forward to an exciting 2023-2024 school and band year. It would be most beneficial if both the parent/guardians and their students answer this form together.

Please complete the questions below for the student's name, parents'/guardians' names, email addresses for both (student personal email is preferable as KCS emails are finicky), student's Fall 2023 grade, student's current school, student instrument or performance area, YES NO or MAYBE for interest in next year's marching band, if it is NO or MAYBE please explain why, Class Band ONLY or opt-into Competitive Band (will be explained in next paragraph), interested in a leadership role (current freshman, sophomores, and juniors only) and ask any questions you wish concerning next fall.

We have a new marching band structure here at FHS that we instituted with great success the last two years. Please understand that these structure names are only what we use while in the band program and are NOT the class names you will be registering for at FHS. The first part of this structure is called Class Band. Class Band includes ALL band students registered and in classes at FHS, and it is the curricular aspect of the band program. The second part of the structure is the opt-in Competitive Band program. This is the extra-curricular aspect of the band program that students can choose to opt-into if they wish. I am attaching a document in the email I have sent you with this included Google Form link that explains the expectations of both the Class and Competitive Band structures.

Please address any and all questions you might have in this form. Please know that all of this is confidential. Also, please know that this is still all a work in progress. However, early planning will help set us up for the most successful season possible. Thank you all and GO ADMIRAL BAND!!!

IMPORTANT UPCOMING BAND DATES:
Middle School Winter Guard Auditions: November 7th-11th from 4:00-5:30pm
FHS Band Holiday Concert: Monday, December 12th at 7pm
NEW Student and Leadership Week (Student Uniform Fittings): March 6th-9th from 4-5:30pm
Option 1 Parent/Guardian/Student Band Registration Meeting: Monday, March 6th from 5:45-7:30pm
Option 2 Parent/Guardian/Student Band Registration Meeting: Thursday, March 9th from 5:45-7:30pm
Students will also be fitted for their band uniforms during those meetings.
