Planned Parenthood NL Sexual Health Centre offers various presentations available to any organization/school/business.

We have varying topics but can customize a presentation to your needs if it falls anywhere under our mandate.

Our Mandate: Planned Parenthood Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Health Centre is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes positive sexual health  and 2SLGBTQIA+  inclusion through education, community partnership, information and services within an environment that supports and respects individual choice.

Our workshops are all presented with inclusion and harm-reduction in mind as well as through a trauma informed lens. We are a pro-choice organization and believe that bodily autonomy is of utmost importance. Each presentation is approximately 60-90 minutes (can be tailored to fit your schedule but obviously things will be missing if time is cut) and is best with smaller groups (under 30) but can be presented to larger groups if necessary.

We have 7 main workshops that can all be tailored to different age groups are:

*Planned Parenthood NL Sexual Health Centre Services - this presentation is a general overview of the services that you can receive or avail of at PPNLSHC.
 
Inclusion - this workshop focuses on a general inclusion and anti-oppression work.

2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion - this workshop focuses on inclusion of the 2SLGBTQ+ community as well as how to create a successful GSA

The Ins and Outs of Sexual Health (this session takes two hours but will be the same cost as one and can be done over two sessions) - an inclusive sex positive presentation focusing on harm reduction that teaches about sex, STIs, birth control, condoms, and consent.

Consent - We have 3 different consent presentations based on age. Our youngest consent presentation focuses on teaching good boundaries and normalizing consent for all activities. Our elementary school presentation focuses on the general idea of consent and boundaries but will touch a little on consent in physical relationships (hugging, kissing, etc) where age appropriate. Our Jr High/High School and adult consent has more focus on relationship based consent.

Healthy Relationships - this presentation can be tailored to any age group. We discuss healthy relationships (familial, platonic, and romantic), boundaries, consent, self-care, etc. We also teach about warning signs of unhealthy relationships and how you can make an exit plan from these.

Puberty - Our puberty presentation is best delivered between 10-12 years of age. We discuss the physical, emotional, and mental changes that happen in puberty and give some tips on managing all of those changes. We do have a separate presentation about puberty to show to adults to help them better understand what is happening to those going through puberty.

We want our presentations to be of the most use to you that we can so if you need a presentation to be more specific or more focused on a certain topic let us know. We can also give presentations not listed here on anything related to sexual or reproductive health or to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
