Your Instructors:
Renee Cervantez has held various titles and roles throughout her life and whether in her personal life, career, or volunteer work, her favorite is helping people grow and learn. Renee has a master’s degree in education with a specialization in family & community services. She has a bachelor’s degree in social science with a minor in child development. Renee has lived in Ventura County all her life and is happy to raise her family here as well. She lives with her husband and their three children. Renee and her husband, Joseph became foster parents (and now a RFA home) in 2015, and they have been blessed by adoption 3 times!
Nora Hayes has been a public speaker/educator since 1989. Her public speaking career began in the prison system, where she learned a great deal about interacting with her audience – a tool she still uses today when teaching classes. In 1996, Nora became a health educator working in the medical field, where she specialized in childbirth, parenting, health and safety classes. Nora is a foster/adoptive mom and has a teenaged daughter. Despite the many challenges of parenting, Nora has always loved being a mom. She enjoys very much helping others navigate through their parenting journey.
