Join us for The Green Line and Reynolds Journalism Institute's playbook conversations
The Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) and The Green Line, a hyperlocal Toronto-based news outlet focused on serving young and other underserved communities, built a playbook about community-focused journalism and civic engagement. Check it out here https://innovationrji.github.io/projects/guide/attention-action-journey.html We launched this free playbook to educate newsrooms on how to increase civic engagement through community-focused journalism. Our eight-step guide charts a course for editorial and organizational choices with actionable steps based on what The Green Line team has learned through their work.

The RJI and The Green Line launched our playbook this spring 2023, so in the meantime, we want to hear from you about what you are interested in learning from the tool and what you would like to see in future versions. RJI and The Green Line will be hosting future conversations to collect feedback from community-focused journalists about the kinds of features you’d like to see in the playbook, as well as how you’d like it to be formatted. Sign up to keep in the loop.
