The GLCA’s Consortium for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will present Part III of a webinar series by Vicki L. Baker of Albion College, beginning at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 11, 2022..  The webinar series is entitled:

Faculty careers are long, characterized by many transitions from achieving tenure and promotion to balancing work and family. The longest stage of the faculty career is the mid-career stage, which includes recently tenured associate professors up to faculty colleagues who are 10 years out from retirement. The purpose of this professional development workshop is to assist mid-career faculty across the GLCA in navigating in and through various transitions and career paths successfully. The question we will address together is -- Now You Have Tenure – What’s Next?

This third webinar of the series is entitled,   "Fostering Your Mentoring Network at Mid-Career."  Those who enroll by Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. will receive a link to join the webinar at 12:00 noon that day.  

Mentoring and fostering a mentoring network is a critical career advancement skill and resource. However the mentoring strategies needed to successfully traverse mid-career are different. The focus of this webinar is to help you think strategically about mentoring and the role of mentoring in career advancement.  Together, we will conduct a mentoring needs inventory and outline an action plan for addressing "gaps" identified from the mentoring needs inventory.
