HS Good Samaritan Foundation Scholarship Application
Mission Statement
GSF Scholarship is a humanitarian effort to educate highly motivated and academically strong college students with a Hispanic/Latino background.  

Overview
GSF Scholarship is a private foundation dedicated to assist Hispanic/Latino college students obtain certificates and college degrees.

Qualifications (Read Carefully)
● Live in Salt Lake County, Utah, and given to students living in or around the West side of Salt Lake City (i.e. Rose Park, Glendale, Fair Park, West Pointe, Poplar Grove, Downtown, etc.).
● Students need to be accepted and/or attending a state college, or university (i.e. SLCC, UofU, LDSBC, etc.) & pursuing an undergraduate degree
● Be a student in good standing making satisfactory progress with a GPA of 2.8 or more
● Demonstrate strong academic performance through GPA, test scores, or other academic indicators
● Must be able to attend a volunteer orientation and volunteer with Rose Park Neighborhood Center for 10-15 hours per semester

Please Note: Status is not considered when awarding scholarships. Open to citizens, residents, and undocumented students (with or without DACA).  

Application Process:
1) Applications must be completed and include all required documents.
          a) Short bio: less than 250 words. Keep it short and sweet!

2) Financial assistance is for education-related expenses and is based on need and determined on a semester-by-semester basis!
         a) Assistance with books and other educational needs supplies
         b) Tutoring assistance
         c) Tuition assistance (determined on a semester-by-semester basis)
