November 8th:
9:00 am to 10:30 am: IN-PERSON United Way Breakfast/Collaboration Session
Held at 101 S. Jensen Road, join the Community Initiatives for a breakfast collaboration session to kick off the event. Attendants will work through their areas of alignment to discover potential areas of collaboration with each other.
1:00 pm - 1:30 pm: United Way Updates
Held virtually, Join our team for a discussion on what is new at United Way of Broome County. Learn about the continuation of our DEI work, upcoming events, and a community campaign check-in.
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Survey Design
Held virtually, join George Homsy from NoMa and Binghamton University to review best practices when designing surveys. These survey skills have a wide variety of applications, from better-incorporating client feedback to collecting data for future grant requests.
November 9th:
9:00 am - 10:00 am: Canva and Digital Marketing
Held virtually, join Desiree McGreal from Binghamton University to review Canva, an easy-to-use digital marketing tool that is free for Nonprofits, and learn tools to better create all types of materials for your organization.
10:30 am - 11:30 am: Board Development
Held virtually, join Sharon Chesna, former Executive Director of Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network to discuss board development and board member fundraising initiatives for nonprofit organizations.
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Strategic Priority Grant Request for Proposal Walkthrough
Held virtually, join the Community Initiatives team for an in-depth look at the 2024-2025 SPGP RFP. This will be one of two walkthrough sessions and attendance of one session is mandatory for applicants to the 2023-2024 SPGP.
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Factory by Beer Tree Networking
After the conference, join us in-person at Beer Tree to relax and spend time with professionals in Broome County who are working to make a difference. Register for this event here:
