Arts and PBATs Week
April 3, 4 and 5 will be a modified schedule for PBATs. We are excited to have a chance to relax, explore new arts, build community and deepen our artistic and academic skills. We will have two whole school assemblies!  9th graders will have English assessments, and 10th graders will practice for the ELA regents.  All students will also be able to sign up for 2 workshops.  Please sign up for your workshops here. They will fill 1st come 1st serve !!!

Some notes:
Academic Work Time: All 11th and 12th graders will have academic work time on Monday morning to work on PBATs and any other needed classwork. If you need additional work time, you can sign up for it as a workshop.

Open Arts Studios:
All are welcome to
Come enjoy your creative self...
...experiment with new forms of art
* create an artistic addition to your PBAT *
deepen or develop or complete a current art project

Expectation - positive encouragement of each other,
everyone will take out, care for and return supplies they use
AND offer some general studio care...
so we leave both studios more beautiful than we find them

PBAT Observation (9th grade only) 9th graders are invited to observe a PBAT panel. Please note, this is a high-stakes situation that presenters have prepared hard for and might be nervous for. As an observer, you are expected to be respectful, silent, and present (on-time, no phones!). Please only sign up if you are sure you can meet these expectations and contribute to a positive experience for the presenters.

Spanish Language film: Two different Spanish-language films will be screened with English subtitles. This is a great way to practice Spanish or English language skills. Films TBD, tell Sarah your suggestions!

Team Building Obstacles: Overcoming challenges together to build trust and encourage collaboration. Offered by the Restorative Justice team

Writing Conventions certification: This workshop is a great way to improve your own writing to prepare for college papers and the workplace. It is also a way to build skills as a tutor. When you successfully complete it, you will have "Landmark Writing Conventions Tutor" certification. This certificate is required for Landmark interns and other paid tutoring opportunities at Landmark.
