OPEN APLICATIONS: Second quarter 2022 (April - June)

Volunteering with us requires your availability 5 days a week between 5 to 6 hours a day. If you have experience in permaculture, carpentry, cooking, cleaning or gardening, it is something that we appreciate, even though it is not necessary. It is more important that you know how to cultivate positive interpersonal relationships, that you have a proactive attitude, that you like nature and bring all your willingness to participate in various ways. For example:

- 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆: Helps with various repair or construction tasks.
- 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆: Plant, cultivate and maintain gardens. Take care of the chickens.
- 𝑲𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒆𝒓: Assist our “Amara Kitchen” with cleaning and organizing.
- 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕: Help with cleaning common areas for guests.

 
The activities are adapted to the needs of the day. They depend on the retreats in progress and the number of people available each day. The day before retreats, the main focus is on preparation (making beds, cleaning common spaces, etc). On retreat days the support will be oriented to help our "Amara Kitchen" with cleaning, and the rest of the days it is oriented to other projects that we carry out at the level of carpentry, gardening and maintenance of the site. In general there are daily tasks such as feeding the “Amara Happy Chickens” and managing the compost.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
   ◈ Minimum age 21 years.
   ◈ Possess documentation or visa that allows you to work in Spain (EU)
   ◈ We accept volunteers for the full 2 ​​week period not a fraction of it
   ◈ English level at least intermediate is appreciated. Our meetings are usually in English
   ◈ Been available for interview with our Volunteers Coordinator

Once the pre-selected profiles are interviewed, the volunteers selection will be carried out. 𝗧𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 € 𝟴𝟬 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿. This measure allows us to have some control over volunteering compliance.
In case of cancellations, the amount of the guarantee will only be returned if the cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to the start of the volunteering.


By coming to Amara Valley as a volunteer you will have access to our 10 hectares of nature where you can take time for yourself. Additionally you have:

   ◈ Covid Antigen exam upon arrival (Required. No cost)
   ◈ 2 days off per week
   ◈ Single bed in a shared dome (two people)
   ◈ All meals included, vegan and vegetarian options
   ◈ Internet access in the main facilities
   ◈ Yoga classes
   ◈ Access to facilities: Pool, Sauna, Meditation Room, Yoga Shala
   ◈ Participation in some events. (Conditions apply)
