Praxis Online Survey (2022)
This survey is being conducted as part of the summative evaluation of the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute (formerly the Rick Hansen Institute), covering the period 2018 – 2021. It focuses on Praxis initiatives and projects supported by Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) over that period, as well as relevant activities funded by WD over earlier periods (e.g., a previous WD investment over the five years from 2013-2018). These investments cover aspects of spinal cord injury (SCI) research related to four outcomes:

   - Increased knowledge about SCI (Translation & cure);
   - Improved delivery of care (Best Practice Implementation);
   - Reduced health care and consumer costs (Economic Activity); and
   - More innovations being ready to demonstrate, bring to market, or use (Commercialization).

Praxis is interested in hearing from its community members regarding how relevant, useful and credible the results of its activities have been in relation to these four outcomes.  The aggregate results of this survey will be used by Praxis in future strategic planning and program development activities.

All responses are confidential and no information that would allow the identification of any individual will be provided to Praxis or WD.

Program Delivery
10.   To what extent has Praxis engaged in meaningful Integrated Knowledge Translation (IKT) activities?
Briefly, “Integrated” KT differs from traditional Knowledge Transfer or Knowledge Mobilization in that researchers and intended end-users (including patients and their families, policy makers) work together in a far more equal and mutual co-creative partnership to identify research goals, participate in the research and interpreting the results, and implement the results in real-life applications. Where appropriate, topics outside mainstream “hard” science topics may be considered suitable for study.
