Urban Wild is committed to following current AHS restrictions for day and overnight camps and is also informed by outdoor social gatherings restrictions set out by the Alberta government in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. After completing the following sections, Urban Wild will contact you to confirm your registration as well as provide payment details via E-transfer to reserve your spot.

Section 1: Program Selection

Let's celebrate baby animals this spring! Urban Wild will spark your family's curiosity and connection to the natural world with a sprinkle of nature inspired activities, a scoop of family led nature walks and a dollop of free play. Explore the sights, sounds, smells and textures of spring during during this 6 week program! A new animal will be celebrated each week.

Programs are designed with the 2-6 year old crowd in mind. An adult companion must attend.

Join us for the Tuesday north loop or the Thursday south loop. Each loop we will be visiting three different parks. Classes run in the morning from 10:00-11:30 during the months of May and June.

Please select which program you are interested in registering for below. Urban Wild will email you to confirm your spot and provide details for program payment via E-transfer.

Cancellation Policy

Participant Cancellation: Urban Wild requires 2 weeks notice for cancellation of program for full refund. There is no refund for missed classes.

Urban Wild Cancellation: In the event of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances Urban Wild will cancel a class and families will be notified. Urban Wild will offer a date to reschedule this class when possible.

If a class cannot be rescheduled, class reimbursement applies if Urban Wild is not able to deliver a minimum of 75% of the program due to cancellations related to weather and Covid-19. A 10% administration charge applies to reimbursements.

*This cancellation policy is in place to help sustain a small business and all the business costs that make providing these programs possible including administrative, design, materials, insurance and permits.

Section 3: Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk and Photo Release

I, the adult participant in Urban Wild programs named below (the “Participant”) and guardian (the “Guardian”), of minor participant/s named below (the “Child/ren”) understand that by checking off and entering my name on this document I expressly agree to all the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement (the “Release”).

I, as Participant and Guardian, acknowledge that I am and my Child/ren are voluntarily participating in Urban Wild Programs offered by Urban Wild.

I understand that participation in Urban Wild Programs can expose me and my Child/ren to risk and possible injuries.

I, as Participant and Guardian, accept and assume any and all risks of injury up to and including death, to myself and my Child/ren, or any property damage, whether caused by the negligence of Urban Wild or otherwise.

I, as Participant and Guardian, expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against Urban Wild, and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”), on account of injury, death, or property damage arising out of or attributable to participation in Urban Wild Programs, whether arising out of the negligence of Urban Wild, of any of the Releasees, or otherwise. I, as Participant and Guardian, covenant not to make or bring any such claim against the Urban Wild or any other of the Releasees and forever release and discharge Urban Wild and all other of the Releasees from liability under such claims.

I, as Participant and the Guardian, declare that I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice with respect to the matters addressed in this Release.

I, as Participant and the Guardian, further declare that I fully understand this Release and have not been influenced by any representations or statement made by or on behalf of Urban Wild.

All matters arising out of or relating to this Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.

Photo Release

During the Urban Wild Program photographs may be taken for promotional purposes. These purposes include, but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram, the Urban Wild website, and print. Photographs taken will not be sold or used for commercial distribution. Names will not be used to identify people in pictures. Please note Urban Wild will make the effort to use pictures where adults and children are not easily identifiable. This includes pictures taken from further away, pictures where the full face is not shown, pictures of hands engaged in an activity and projects constructed during events. *

I, as Participant and Guardian, agree to the above terms.

I, as Participant and Guardian, do not give permission for Urban Wild to photograph myself or my Child/ren.

Section 4: COVID-19 Participation Agreement

All Urban Wild programs operating as of Sept 20, 2021 will operate according to current day and overnight camp restrictions and will also be informed by outdoor social gatherings restrictions set out by the Alberta government in relation to COVID-19 pandemic. I recognize that Urban Wild will be operating within current day and overnight camp restrictions and will also be informed by outdoor social gathering restrictions provided by the provincial government.

I understand that I must review the current Covid- 19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist for any attending member in my household prior to arriving onsite to a program.

I am aware of the COVID-19 symptoms and will stay home if my child or I is displaying any of the symptoms.

I understand that if classes are cancelled in relation to Covid-19 that prevent Urban Wild from delivering a minimum of 65% of the program refunds will be provided. Refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee.

I freely and voluntarily agree to assume the risk with respect to COVID-19, including the risk of death, bodily injury, or property damage, regardless of severity, that I, or my child, may sustain as a result of my participation in the program activities however arising, including, but not limited to, the active or passive negligence of Urban Wild.
