B.E.A.C.H. Student Volunteer Registration
Thank you for volunteering to serve as a student volunteer at Santa Clara Law's Broncos Entrepreneurs Advisory Clinic Hours (B.E.A.C.H.).

We are very excited to share with you that we are completely redesigning the clinic and will be running a smaller test pilot clinic for Fall 2022.  You are a key part of this redesign (really -- it is very exciting!!). In this Fall 2022 test pilot clinic you will serve clients AND provide feedback about your experience so we can create the best BEACH possible.

For Fall 2022 we are accepting 5 upperclassmen (2/3/4Ls) and ten 1Ls or LLMs.

By signing up you are saying we can rely on you to attend all sessions noted below, and to work with your team to serve 3 to 4 clients per month for three months (February, March, April).

Saturday Training and Client Selection Schedule:
* January 22: 10 AM to Noon - Training
* January 29: 10 AM to 11:30 AM - Client Selection
* February 26: 10 AM to 11:30 AM - Client Selection
* March 26: 10 AM - 11:30 AM - Client Selection

Required
I agree and understand that I will be expected to spend approximately two to five hours prior to serving clients in each clinic communicating with clients, researching topics, and communicating with my lawyer mentor about upcoming client sessions. I also agree to submit a report summarizing my experience or complete a post-clinic survey at the end of the term. *
Required
I understand that 1) student volunteers will receive training on conducting client interviews, and must receive such training before interacting with clients. 2) students may be asked to obtain and review client-supplied materials in advance, conduct client intake interviews, and perform preliminary research re issues presented. 3) The level of participation in counseling sessions is expected to vary according to year (1L, 2L, etc.) and individual skill level. *
Required
I understand that I will be a part of a team of law students who will be supervised by a practicing attorney.  I also understand that for some clients I will serve as the primary point person (main client contact), and for others I will be a supporting team member.  I agree to work collaboratively and fulfill my role whether or not I am the point person and to keep all communications relating to the client confidential. *
