One Brick Boston is looking for someone to join our Executive Team to fill our Social and Special Events/Partnerships Coordinator. We make One Brick Boston run and volunteering fun, commitment-free, and awesome. This is a volunteer position, as is the case with all of our executive team positions.
The Social and Special Events/Partnership Coordinator position is responsible for planning and coordinating special events and fundraisers as needed, assists with maintaining and developing partnerships with other organizations and businesses, and plan and manages monthly virtual or in person social events.
The position is responsible for
Planning, organizing, and running fundraising events and special events such as volunteer appreciation events, anniversary party, staff retreats. Communicates with outside venues in support of social events, special events, and fundraisers.
Plans and manages monthly social events
Provides guidance and information to Communication team for promoting social events, special events, and fundraising.
Assists with coordinating and developing partnerships with local organizations and businesses with the Chapter Director and other team members.
Some of the skills and qualities we’re looking for are:
Event planning experience
Knowledge and experience of creating special events
Knowledge of venues for socials, special events, and fundraisers (i.e bars, restaurants, pool halls, special event spaces) in Greater Boston
Ability to work closely as a member of a team
Strong communication skills
One year commitment for 1-4 hours of volunteer work per week including attendance at monthly (virtual or in person) Executive Team meetings. The hours depend on how quickly you work and if we are putting on larger special events and fundraisers.
