DSL Hackathon General Interest Survey
Interested in deep learning? Image classification? Flood detection? The Data Science League is planning an image classification hackathon to detect flooding in satellite imagery. We want to gauge students' interest and address possible barriers so everyone who wants to participate can. The planned event dates are March 25-27.

For those unfamiliar, hackathons are 2-3 day events where people meet and work to develop solutions. Typically, these are frequently held in the context of game development or solving a general problem. This event would start on Friday with a technical tutorial and/or a presentation on the domain, and participants would work Friday evening and Saturday to make progress on their solutions. On Sunday, we'll wrap up with lunch and opportunities for teams to share their solutions.

By the way, if we have enough participation in the hackathon, we will offer up to $500 to the winning team!
