AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a four-year, elective class offered to students who would like to prepare for entrance into a four-year university. The curriculum features writing, inquiry, collaboration, reading, note-taking, study skills, organization, leadership skills and college/career activities.

Reasons to join our AVID program:
-Test Prep for College Entrance Exams (PSAT, SAT, ACT)
-College application Fee waivers and SAT/ACT fee waivers
-98% -100% of AVID students meet A-G college requirements
-About 85%-90% of AVID students get accepted into four-year universities
-College tutors available for tutoring two/three days a week
-Opportunities to learn about college majors and careers
-Guidance for college applications, FAFSA, scholarships, essays, resume, interviews, and more!
-Invited to attend college tours and college activities (UCLA football game, College Clipper night, Six Flags Magic Mountain etc.)
