Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Blackberry Creek! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run primarily by volunteers. Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted by our volunteer coordinator.
Description: Our committed volunteers are hard-working individuals who are 18 years or older who come weekly to feed animals, muck stalls, clean coops, rake pastures, haul manure, trim hooves, clear invasive plants, perform health checks and do any number of other tasks. Good physical fitness, reliable transportation, and the ability to work in the heat and the cold (including rain and snow) are essential, and volunteers must be able to lift at least 40lbs and be comfortable getting dirty and working around large animals.
Accessible Options: If you believe that you have limitations that would keep you from meeting the requirements above, we also have additional volunteer opportunities such as filling hay nets, handling produce for the animals, and more. Please indicate this option in your application if this is better for your needs and direct any questions to
info@blackberrycreek.orgTime Commitment: We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of four months of weekly or bi-weeekly service. We are a volunteer-run organization and depend on having highly responsible people we can rely on to show up to care for the animals.
Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 years or older. If you are under 18 and in high school, please consider joining the LEAP program (details at
