1. All vendors must complete a Vendor Application and receive approval from the Market Manager(s) to participate in the Cameron County Farmers Market (“CCFM”). A new Vendor Application must be submitted every year.
2. The Vendor Application must list all the products that the vendor intends to sell at the CCFM. If a vendor wishes to sell a product not listed in the initial Vendor Application they must first get written permission from the Market Manager(s) before offering these products for sale at the CCFM. Products can be categorized, for example: “fresh vegetables”, “hand-knitted goods”, “home-baked breads”.
3. All vendors must agree to a meeting with the Market Manager(s) for product inspection/sampling prior to Vendor Application approval.
4. All vendors will be assigned a spot at the CCFM by the Market Manager(s) and are guaranteed a minimum plot size of 10” by 10”.
5. All vendors must prominently display their name or business name on their stall so that customers know where the products originate from and/or are processed by.
6. All vendors must supply their own tables, tents (if needed), chairs, trash containers and displays. If a vendor is unable to supply any of these they must let the Market Manager(s) know at least 72 hours before market day so that these items can be arranged for them.
7. Vendors must remove all their items from their site at the end of each market day, including any trash. The sites must be left clean, as they were found at the start of the market day. All trash should be disposed of off-site.
8. The CCFM operating hours for 2024 are every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, May to October, 9am to 12pm. More dates may be added, at the discretion of the Market Manager(s). The market will be open rain or shine, unless weather conditions are deemed hazardous by the Market Manager(s).9. Vendors must arrive early on market day and be set up and ready to sell by opening time. The stalls must be manned at all times during opening hours. Vendors must not start taking down stalls until the market closes. All items should be removed, and sites cleaned up, no later than 1 hour after closing time.
10. If a vendor needs to cancel their stall for the day, is unavoidably late to market day or needs to leave early they must notify the Market Manager(s) as soon as possible.
