Upward Scholars seeks volunteer tutors to help our Bay Area community college students develop good study skills and complete homework assignments.

Tutors help students virtually and in person with ESL (English as a Second Language) classes and other classes, including math, accounting, and computer science. 

We expect that volunteer tutor-student pairs will connect either in-person or virtually for one hour per week during the 19-week academic term. Volunteers are welcome to continue working with the same student beyond that initial academic term or to partner with new students in future; however, our expectation is a commitment for at least one academic term.
