Purpose
This is our fourth year of planning a vendor event event to help Decorah/St. Ben's 8th graders raise funds for their annual trip to Washington DC! Last year's event was closer to Easter due to COVID, but this year we're back at Valentine's Day! Our event will include a meal for purcahse.
There are two ways for students to raise funds: volunteering and becoming a student vendor. All students are eligible for both opportunities until all spaces are filled.
This form is specifically for families who are interested in volunteering.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Please fill out this form to indicate your interest in volunteering for the 8th grade vendor event. Please fill out one form for each person volunteering (one per parent and one per child). Once we have your form, we will contact you with a list of available shifts. Shifts will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis. NOTE: All volunteers must be 8th grade students OR adults 18 or older - we are not able to utilize additional siblings. Each family may sign up for two total shifts, provided one shift is an adult shift. If your student cannot volunteer at all, a family may sign up for two adult shifts.
After the event is over, all proceeds will be counted up, and the total funds raised will be divided by the number of shifts worked. Each 8th grader will receive one "share" for each shift worked. They will also receive one "share" for each adult who signs up for an official shift on their behalf.
In the event that we do not have enough volunteers registered by January 18, we will allow students and adults to sign up for additional shifts.
