2024 Appalachian Energy Summit                   Student Poster Competition 
Degree-seeking university and college students are invited to submit an abstract for their energy-related research or project and be a part of the 2024 Appalachian Energy Summit June 3-4. This is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their work and win cash prizes. The Energy Summit is free for poster competitors. Requirements & Deadlines
Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate or PhD student in a US institution of higher education (i.e. university, college, community college) currently performing research or leading a project related to Renewable Energy, Climate and Environment, Energy Efficiency and the Built Environment, Clean Transportation, Power Distribution and Storage, Energy Policy, Emissions, Behavior Change, or similar topic.

Be sure to emphasis the significance of your research focus.  Tell us how this research or project:
- Informs about ways to reduce climate impacts
- Positively benefits society and the environment
- Advances clean energy technology or behaviors

The deadline to submit a completed application is Friday, May 03 by 11:59 p.m.

Although not required, you may share a single pdf file of your previous academic work related to your proposed poster topic. To share your previous academic work, please provide a link below to your file in Google Drive or another file-share platform. Alternatively, a single pdf file no larger than 5 MB can be emailed to sharpj1@appstate.edu prior to the submission deadline. Examples of relevant collateral material include a previous paper, presentation, or other meaningful products of your research that relate to your proposed poster topic. The purpose of sharing previous work is to illustrate your academic experience related to your topic. However, students submitting previous academic research will not gain preference or competitive advantage.

You agree that your printed poster will become property of AEC after the competition, and may be displayed at the Center for a limited time. You consent to include the AEC digital nameplate at the bottom right corner of your poster, which will be provided to entrants accepted into the competition.
