The cost of this training is $10.00.
Join us for a 2 hour in-person, live Challenging Behavior training.
This training gives child care providers tools and strategies to help them be successful in helping young children with challenging behavior. We will discuss the purpose of behavior, appropriate ways to approach guidance, “First….Then” and “Feeling” vocabulary, helping children develop problem solving skills, environment’s role in behavior, and strategies to involve families.
Training Outcomes:
- Explain the difference between punishment and positive guidance.
- Write “First….Then….” statements for their classrooms.
- List “Feeling” vocabulary words.
- State ways to help children develop problem solving skills.
- Describe the role environment plays in behavior.
- List ways families can be involved in positive guidance.
- Describe the relationship between challenging behaviors and communication.
