Monarch Connections Womanhood Book Club

Hear Her and Hear Her PT. 2 were interactive events in 2020 and 2021 on the diversity of womanhood. It began through conversations with two girlfriends and myself as we discussed how media, society, family and religious institutions did not and have not helped women like us succeed in various areas of life.

Some of the topics we discussed were mental health, body image, sex, miscarriages, postpartum, religion and marriage, standards of beauty and anxiety.

Conversations and events later, Monarch Connections wants to open up Hear Her beyond events, and now via a book club for anyone who identifies as a woman.

For the next 5 months (Feb - June), we are meeting to read and discuss Brene Brown's Book, I thought It Was Just Me, But Isn't...
