Kald'Jinan the Immortal Garden

The city of Kald'Jinan is a sprawling metropolis built around the only oasis for hundreds of miles. The city is built into and surrounded by a large mountain range that encompasses the oasis. Due to its isolated nature, Kald'Jinan operates as a city state, employing its own government and military. Most goods are produced inside the city, from the Ember mines to the Koric farms. One can find just about any commodity if they know which district to look in.

Water, the most precious commodity in Kald'Jinan, is a tightly regulated resource. It flows from the Ember palace to the nearby districts, buildings, and homes through an intricate system of troughs and aqueducts. Rumors speak of underworld distillers who sell water on the black market, though any suspected operation is quickly trampled by the local military officers.

Kald'Jinan is ruled by an elite council from the Ember palace, a massive complex consisting of giant sandstone bricks and fertile gardens at the heart of the oasis. Various districts of the city are ruled by sub-councils. Be wary not to agitate the ruling elite or you may find yourself on a one way trip to the outskirts, where you will be left for dead under the burning sun.

Whatever your reason for visiting, Kald’Jinan will offer respite from the harsh and dangerous desert.

Submission Details
Submissions must be less than 2500 characters (about 500 words)
Submissions will be accepted from 7/1/2021 to 7/23/2021.

Reward Details
Winner will be announced on the podcast episode that releases on 7/30/2021
Winner will receive a $10 gift card to either Amazon or DriveThruRPG (their choice)
Winner will be contacted via Discord (so make sure your discord info is correct in the submission form)
