The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) (DVCIE)
at the University of Queensland is currently conducting a research project
examining the history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit
(ATSISU) in advance of its 40th Anniversary celebrations in 2024.
The project aims to
gather, preserve, and share the memories and recollections of past and current
staff and students of UQ’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit
(ATSISU) and its precursors. Your stories will demonstrate the significant place the Unit has held
within the UQ community since its inception.
We are seeking alumni, current or past staff members, students, and
community members to be interviewed by a member of our research team or to
complete a written survey about their experiences with the ATSISU.
Participation is entirely voluntary and your
consent to participate can be withdrawn at any time. For more information, including
a copy of the Participant Information Sheet, please contact Chief Investigator Dr Anna Temby at a.temby@uq.edu.au, or visit: https://indigenous-engagement.uq.edu.au/atsisu-40th-anniversary-project
