Increase Penalties for Animal Abusers (NYS) 
PROPOSAL: (Sign this to Persuade the Governor to Sign this bill that passed the Senate!)

•  Bail should be constant, no matter the level of abuse

•  If you abuse an animal, you can never own one again

•  Time in jail to be determined by the cruelty done (just like human crimes)

-  Example: Starvation – 10 years, Dog fighting – 25 years, etc.


I agree with the notion that the CURRENT penalties in place are NOT sufficient:

  • $2,000 fine 
  • Registered on Animal Abuse Registry  (abuser pays ONLY $50)
CLASS A MISDEMEANOR TO A CLASS E FELONY!
