Essex County SBA Unsung Heroes Nomination Form 2024
In collaboration with New Jersey School Boards Association, Essex County School Boards Association would like to recognize an UNSUNG HERO from each of Essex County's High School. These will be made up of a 12th Grader at each of the Essex County High Schools.

These honorees will be the Essex County SBA 2024 Unsung Heroes--- students who make outstanding contributions to their schools and communities but are often overlooked by other traditional student recognition programs.

You may want to consider students who may have overcome difficult academic or personal challenges, modeled good citizenship, or a spirit of quiet strength that has inspired others. In choosing your nominee, you may also want to include students who organized programs that supported local non-profit charities, Eagle Scouts, volunteer firefighters, and EMTs, or those who achieved academic success despite disabilities, language barriers, or other significant challenges.

We invite you to submit a student's name to be honored as the 2024 Unsung Hero at this year's event. You and the student nominee (along with their family) will receive invitations to the event. This year's event will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at West Essex High School in North Caldwell. The nominator (or another staff member from your school/district, should be available on April 11 to introduce the Unsung Hero during the ceremony).

Nominations, blurbs, and a photo of the student must be submitted by Monday, March 11, 2024. Please e-mail the photo to Robert Acerra at racerra@njsba.org by March 11, 2024.
